We authorize payment on the credit card when the order is placed.  If for instance you order 150 gallons and only take 122 gallons, we then charge your card for the 122 gallons and the bank then releases the 150 gal authorization.  Some banks may take a couple days to release the authorized payment

When can I find out a time for my delivery?

We create our delivery schedules the morning of the delivery. Should you need a time, it’s best if you call on the delivery morning after 930am. A two to three hour window is given and while we try to maintain that delivery window, sometimes there are things that occur out of our control.

Can the driver call me?

Same day deliveries are not always possible as we are typically next day delivery during winter months.

How can I change the amount I ordered or change payment mode after hours?

If you have changes to your delivery after hours, please leave a message on the machine and we will get back to you when the office opens at 8am.

Do you deliver on weekends?

We recommend cleaning your heating system once a year and regular maintenance when needed.  Without regular maintenance and cleaning, your system will not be working efficiently.

What is the difference between your oil and other companies?

All oil companies in Connecticut sell the same number 2 heating oil.

Is it bad if my house runs out of oil?

Yes, It is not good to let your house run out of heating oil because it can cause damage to your furnace and then not start up right away.  It can also stir up sludge and clog your filter.  It is best to fill your tank when you hit a quarter tank.

What is sludge?

Sludge is a buildup of bacteria and rust condensation which builds up in the warmer weather.  Today’s quality of oil is much better but cannot remove bacteria in the oil.  Most tanks are 10-20 years old or more so a large buildup is possible.

Does someone in my house have to be home to receive a delivery?

No, as long as you have given us the correct fill location and house description plus payment, no one needs to be home.  Receipts are left in the mailbox unless told otherwise.
